About Techpod
Independent design · Hong Kong
We’re Techpod, an independent design company from Hong Kong. We give familiar technology a new purpose, with thoughtful objects that bring a little more intention to everyday life.

A different starting point
Music on a walk. Directions somewhere new. A call from someone who matters. We love what technology makes possible. We wanted more of that, with fewer reflexes to reach for a phone.
Our founder, Kore, started with an Apple Watch and a different idea of what it could become. That thought grew into RePod, and a design company built around making everyday technology feel more intentional.
Founder, Techpod

A second life, in your pocket
That idea became RePod: a metal enclosure that takes a compatible Apple Watch off the wrist and puts it in the palm of your hand.
A familiar wheel. Your music and everyday essentials. A different way to carry the device you already have, and a small invitation to reach for your phone a little less.
RePod is a case; Apple Watch is sold separately. Features depend on your Watch model, apps, setup and connectivity. Choose the version that matches your Watch.
The work behind the wheel
Simple on the outside. Considered all the way through.
Early experiments used Bluetooth. The feel wasn't there. So we went back to a physical connection: turn RePod's wheel, and it mechanically turns the Apple Watch's Digital Crown.
Getting that connection right took a year of refining the manufacturing process with multiple partners. The details you barely notice are the ones we spend our time on.
Your thumb → the wheel → the Digital Crown.

What stays with us
Design should help you do what you came to do, then let you get on with your day.
Before starting with something new, look for the possibility in something you already own.
The turn of a wheel. The feel in your hand. Small, physical details make everyday objects worth spending time with.
Our story, in the press
Fast CompanyJesus Diaz · November 4, 2026
Fast Company featured Techpod and RePod in its exploration of devices that offer a different relationship with our phones. Kore shared the thinking behind giving an old Watch a new purpose, and bringing physical interaction back to everyday technology.
