RePod Setup Guide Techpod

Which Techpod RePod Fits Your Apple Watch?

Check the generation, then the millimeters. Two details make choosing a case much simpler.
4 min read

Choose Techpod RePod by Apple Watch generation and case size together. For example, a Series 8 with a 45mm case needs the Series 7/8/9, 45mm RePod option. A size that sounds close, or a band that fits both watches, doesn't establish that the same RePod case will fit.

If you're giving an old Watch a new job, identify the actual device before ordering. It takes the guesswork out of choosing a handheld case and helps you avoid unpacking the wrong size.

Find the generation and case size

On the paired iPhone, open the Watch app and go to My Watch → General → About. Tap the Model Number field to switch from the part number to the A-number, then match it in Apple's identification guide. Check the case-size engraving on the back of the Watch as well.

Write the result as a pair: “Series 8 / 45mm” or “SE 2 / 40mm.” Use those exact details when selecting a RePod or asking Techpod for help. If the Watch belongs to someone else, ask them for both details rather than guessing from a photo of the screen.

Match the pair in the RePod selector

Find your generation and size below, then confirm your selection on the current product page before ordering. Availability is shown there.

Watch out for the 42mm label

Apple has used 42mm for more than one generation of Watch. A 42mm Series 3 and a 42mm Series 10 aren't the same case design. The RePod selector's 42mm option names Series 10/11; it shouldn't be read as a promise that every 42mm Apple Watch fits.

Use the same rule for a newer model. A matching size number doesn't establish compatibility with Series 12 or Ultra 4. If your exact generation isn't listed in the current selector, contact sales@itechpod.com for confirmation before buying. You don't need to guess whether a similar-looking case will work.

Check the variant, not only the color

The RePod versions differ in more than their size labels. The current 40–46mm versions use aluminum alloy; the 49mm version lists zinc alloy. Read the details for the version you're choosing, especially if material matters to you.

Once you've chosen a finish, recheck the generation and size shown in the cart. For a gift, save a note of the recipient's Watch model with the order confirmation. If the intended Watch changes before the gift is opened, check the fit again rather than assuming the case transfers.

RePod is sold separately from Apple Watch. Product photos showing a screen illustrate the installed setup; the case doesn't include another Watch, battery or set of apps.

Give the Watch a quick check before you buy

Charge and unlock it. Open the app you want to use, check that its touchscreen and Digital Crown respond, and make sure it can still do the job you have in mind. If the goal is listening on a walk, test the audio setup you plan to carry.

That check helps you decide whether this particular Watch is worth putting back into use. RePod gives a working, compatible Watch a handheld form. It doesn't repair a worn-out battery or change the Watch's connectivity.

When the case arrives, follow Techpod's installation guide. Stop if the Watch doesn't seat as instructed or a part needs force. For fit help, send Techpod the Watch model, case size and your order number before trying to modify anything.

A confirmed match lets you choose RePod for the Watch you already have, then spend your time setting up the music or everyday tools you want to use.

Common questions

Is RePod a universal Apple Watch case?

No. It comes in generation-and-size-specific versions. Match both details in the current product selector.

Will the 42mm RePod fit my older 42mm Watch?

The listed 42mm option is for Series 10/11. Do not assume it fits an earlier 42mm model.

Can I use the 49mm option for any Apple Watch Ultra?

The listed 49mm option names Ultra 1/2/3. Confirm any unlisted generation with Techpod before ordering.
